The more calories you burn per workout the less time you have to spend in the gym. The key here is to maximize this effect with resistance training.

Unfortunately, many fat loss hopefuls are not maximizing their caloric burn because they don’t know how.

Thus, here are some ways to make sure your workouts burn a large amount of calories:

1. Eat some slow or moderate digesting carbs beforehand: Exercising on empty is a horrible strategy for getting the most out of your workouts. You see, carbs provide the fuel your body needs to exercise at its highest level of intensity.

2. Get plenty of rest: The more rest you get the better. You see, intense people tend to under rest. And all the favorable adaptations happen when you are resting. So make sure you get plenty of rest until you are fully recovered.

3. Train in circuit fashion: If you do circuits you will be able to burn more calories, secrete more hormones and spend less time in the gym. The key here is to work your bigger muscles first for the best results possible here.

4. Workout a couple hours after breakfast: This is the best time to work out because you will be out of the starved state. And working out earlier in the day is a good strategy for keeping your caloric burn super high for the rest of the day.

5. Sleep well: The easiest strategy here is to wake up at the same time every day. This will help to maximize the health of your internal biological clock. You see, if you don’t sleep on a consistent schedule your body will not recover properly.

6. Move more: The simple act of moving more will accelerate recovery. You see, movement increases blood flow and circulation. And both are vital in order to get waste out of your muscles and nutrients into your muscles.

The more calories you burn the better off you will be in terms of weight loss. So make sure you take heed of this advice the next time you are in the gym!
